Cedar Rapids, Iowa homeowner goes from a broken pane of glass to a complete exterior home makeover.
Arnold Port stopped by the home improvement show room of Home Town Restyling in Hiawath, IA. Mr. Port needed a pane of glass replaced that was broken by a rock that had shot through it via his lawn mower.
In the back of his mind he knew he needed to do something about replacing his windows. He also knew that the asbestos siding was something that needed some attention along with a new roof and garage door. He also had broken and missing shutters, as well as some 4×4 wood posts that had become an eyesore. He replaced the broken window along with 10 other windows that were in need of being replaced. The siding that not only created maintenance, also created a health hazard that was removed and disposed of properly and replaced with double 4″ steel siding from Rollex Siding which features a maintenance free vinyl coating.
To finish the exterior remodeling, 4 white round fluted aluminum columns were installed, shutters, lighting, a roof and garage door were added. Dave commented, “Mr Port walked in looking for a window replacement and he now has a Brand New Exterior.”
